Appellation: Crozes Hermitage
100% Syrah
This Crozes Hermitage is from the Naturally Exuberant line of Frelin wines, which are the premiere wines produced by Frelin. This is a wonderful Syrah from the area of Tain l’Hermitage in the Rhône Valley, south of Lyon. Jacques blended Syrah grapes from six different organic vineyards to produce a wine of depth and power that will age gracefully for five to ten years. Grapes are harvested by hand, macerated for 25 days, and then the wine was aged 10 to 12 months in new oak barrels, fined with egg whites and lightly filtered before bottling. A good solid Syrah with rustic simplicity.
