Domaine Jean Goulley et Fils Chablis

AOC Chablis

Located near Auxerre in the department of Yonne, the Chablis vineyards lie along a little river aptly named the Serein . The cistercian monks from the abbey of Pontigny began growing vines here in the 12th century.
The Chablis AOC status was created in January 1938, thus confirming the excellent qualities of this dry white wine which, unlicke the wines of some other regions, has held its leading place throughout its history thanks to the high quality of its raw material – the Chardonnay grape.

The Chablis is classic in style. It is bone dry, with a tight acidic backbone, steely in character and full of unique mineral terroir of the Premier Cru vineyard. There is plenty of Chardonnay fruit here, reflecting honey, almonds and melons in a structure that will last for years. Perfect with seafood, charcuterie and goat cheese.

Vinifications in stainless steel vats.

Organically grown since 2007.
