DOC: Chianti Classico
This Reserve is made with the best grapes from the Vigna La Casina region of the vineyards, from vines planted in 1983 and 1987.
The maceration with the skins is longer, it is indicatively of 30 days, to obtain a richer and more structured wine. Then it goes for 12-18 month in barrique and 500 litres tonneaux, with a preference to the tonneaux which do better respect the Sangiovese finesse. After being blended it stay another 2 years in cement before bottling.
With aromas of spices- laurel and cinnamon- and a hint of balsamic wood, this is a perfect wine for red meat, game, and ripe cheeses.
