Vineyard soil: Clay, silt, and limestone

Vinification: Fermentation at low temperature. Traditional vatting time: 21 days.  80% aged in oak barrels for 8 months.

Lively and bright clarity, with deep ruby reflections. Initial aromas of red fruits and almonds. As it opens, the nose reveals toasty, vanilla-toned notes of prune and leather, with a spicy imprint of thyme and herbes de provence.  Medium-bodied, with dark berry fruit flavors and a dry finish.
